The theory test consists of a computer based two part test:
Part 1 being a multiple choice question test based on the Highway Code and requiring a score of at least 30 out of 35 questions to pass.
Part 2 is the hazard perception test which requires you to observe a series of video clips of various scenarios and driving conditions and be able to identify and click the 'mouse' when you see a developing hazard. You are required to score 44 points out of 75 to pass this test.
Both parts must be passed in order to progress and apply for the practical driving test.
Official DSA theory books, computer software and videos are available through Sandy Currie Driving Tuition along with free assistance to help you pass your theory and HPT tests.
